While we await the TAR's decision (scheduled for next week), in Sardinia the regional wildlife hunting committee - on the proposal of the Environment Councilor Marco Porcu - has decided to reintroduce the quail among the huntable species from Sunday 1 October.

«Considering the data and numbers relating to the killings reported in the first two days of hunting, relating to sedentary species (hare and partridge) – explains Porcu -, I also proposed the inclusion of a fourth day of hunting, scheduled for Sunday 8 October. The proposal was accepted and approved by the Committee."

The TAR was called into question by Earth (Association for the legal protection of nature and animal rights) which challenged the hunting calendar .
