Sassari invaded for the Sardinia Pride .
A very long and colourful procession enlivened the Sardinian demonstration, promoted to reiterate that the existence of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people is still "a political act and an act of resistance" , as underlined by the organizers.
Pride returns to Sassari after the 2022 edition, curated this year by the Sardinian Homosexual Movement, together with the associations Queer and Diritti al Cuore, and the contribution of people with disabilities.
The procession, opened by the school world, started from Piazza Università, and continued along the streets of the historic center and the nineteenth-century area of the city, to reach the Emiciclo Garibaldi , for the reading of the political document shared by the Sardinian Queer realities.
Three buses of activists left from Cagliari, one from Carbonia, many participants arrived independently from Oristano and Nuoro.
Godmothers of this edition are “Le Belle di Faccia”, namely Chiara Meloni and Mara Mibelli, godfather the Sardinian actor Gianni Dettori, completing the group is Mariano Gallo, aka Priscilla Drag.
