Over 45 degrees (45.1 to be precise) in Orani, and 42.4 in Ottana , where the regional fire-fighting machine is trying to get the better of a large fire that has reached the industrial area.
The Nuoro area and, in general, inland Sardinia remain among the hottest areas in Italy , currently under a red flag. The data was released at 5:00 PM by the network of stations of the Regional Environmental Protection Agency.
Temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius are not lacking in the Oristano, Gallura, and Sulcis regions . 19 ARPAs monitoring stations reported highs above 40 degrees, even in a mountainous area like Dorgali, where temperatures reached 40.1 degrees. The lowest high was in Santa Teresa Gallura, at 30.6 degrees .
In short, the intense heat continues to affect Sardinia, even at night, where almost everywhere experiences a tropical climate with temperatures that—except for a few locations—never drop below 20 degrees Celsius.
