Yet another day of fire in Sardinia, with 21 fires that broke out in the region. Five larger ones that also required the intervention of the air vehicles of the Forestry Corps.

The first emergency occurred in Monti, in the “Riu de Crasta” area , where three hectares of wood burned down. On site two helicopters from the bases of Alà dei Sardi and Limbara and the Canadair took off from Olbia airport. There are also several teams on the ground engaged in taming the flames: one from the Forestry Corps of Berchidda, three teams from Forestas, two from Barracelli and a team from the Olbia Fire Brigade.

Two hectares of ash wood also in the countryside of Bono, locality "Su Fossu" , where two helicopters from Anela and Farcana intervened. On-site personnel from the Benetutti Forest Station, from Gauf, a Forestas team, one of the Sassari firefighters, one of voluntary associations and two of barracelli were also on site.

Two hectares of olive groves and uncultivated in smoke in Pabillonis, locality Corralis , where a helicopter departed from the Marganai base intervened and coordinated the extinguishing operations of the personnel of the Forestry Corps of Guspini.

There was also an emergency in Perfugas, in the Calaresu area , where the fire destroyed 4 hectares of pastures and uncultivated fields. Two helicopters intervened, departing from the bases of Limbara and Anela, including a Canadair from Olbia.

The extinguishing of the fire that broke out in San Gavino Monreale, in the Nuraci area, has just been completed . On site two forestry helicopters, ground personnel from the same forestry corps, a team of the fire brigade and three volunteer associations.

And the alarm rises for what is announced as the hottest week of the year, in Sardinia it will even reach 40 degrees and the danger of fires is very high.
