Twelve fires were recorded today in Sardinia and for five of these the regional fleet's aircraft had to intervene.

In Gesico , in the “MS Mauro” area, the shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Senorbì Forestry Corps Station together with the helicopters coming from the CFVA bases of Villasalto, Fenosu with the Superpuma and Pula. The intervention of 2 Canadairs coming from Olbia was necessary.

In addition to the GAUF of Cagliari, three teams from the Forestas Agency of Senorbì, Barumini and Escalaplano, a team of the firefighters of Mandas and six teams of volunteers from the Civil Protection of Guasila, Senorbì and Sant'Andrea Frius operated.

In Ottana the fire in the Nuraghe Gaddone area was put out by the staff of the Forestry Corps stations of Bolotana and Macomer with helicopters coming from the CFVA bases of Farcana and Anela. Three teams from the Forestas Agency of Bolotana, Nuoro and Gavoi and a team of volunteers from the Civil Protection of Ottana intervened.

In Arbus , in the “Cuccureddu” area, the fire extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Guspini Forestry Corps Station assisted by the staff on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Villasalto. The arrival of 2 Canadairs from Olbia was necessary. Two teams from the Forestas Agency of Guspini and Gonnosfanadiga, a team of the firefighters from Sanluri and three teams of volunteers from the Civil Protection of Guspini and Arbus intervened.

Another fire in San Nicolò d'Arcidano , in the “Coddu Boinargius” area. The flames were put out by the Marrubiu Forestry Corps with the helicopter coming from the Anela CFVA base. In addition to the GAUF of Oristano, a team from the Forestas Agency of Siris, one of the firefighters of Oristano and a team from the barracellare company of Terralba intervened.

Finally, flames in Tiana , in the “Bau e ladu” area, where the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Tonara and Sorgono Forestry Corps stations, assisted by helicopters from the CFVA bases of Farcana and San Cosimo. A team from the Sorgono firefighters operated.
