Sardinia continues to burn, another 22 fires have broken out in the last few hours in the regional territory and six helicopters of the regional fire service have had to intervene to put out as many fires.

Air vehicles intervened in the Collinas countryside, where thanks to the timely intervention of the teams on the ground, the flames were doused after having incinerated about 6 hectares of uncultivated land and wooded pastures.

Helicopters also in action in Girasole, Putifigari, Suni, Serramanna and Loiri Porto San Paolo. Mostly agricultural areas and pieces of Mediterranean scrub were on fire.

And for tomorrow, Friday 18 August, in conjunction with the arrival on the island of the head of civil protection, a "high" fire danger bulletin was issued in the Cagliari area.

The danger is characterized by the orange color and the conditions are such that the event, once triggered, if not dealt with in a timely manner, can reach such dimensions as to make it difficult to contrast with the ordinary forces, even if reinforced, as it may be necessary to have the assistance of the state fleet .
