They had sighted the floating body of a man , but it was a mistake. The Coast Guard was mobilized by a passenger on the Santa Teresa-Bonifacio ferry, who allegedly reported a body with a life jacket on . The hypothesis made us think of Davide Calvia , the 38-year-old diver who has been missing since the evening of 12 April.

But it was a false alarm . At the point indicated by the call, reached by the patrol boats, nothing was found.

The search for Calvia therefore continued, after his cousin Giovannino Pinna, who was in the boat with him, had been found about 24 hours after the shipwreck .
