Landings continue along the route connecting the Algerian coast to Sulcis.

This morning, a small boat carrying 11 migrants landed in the seaside resort of Calasapone on the island of Sant'Antioco, bringing the total number of people who arrived on the island's shores between yesterday and today to 54. The migrants were identified by police officers from the Carbonia Police Station and a patrol from the Sant'Antioco Barracellare Company, who promptly responded to assist and identify them.

One of the vessel's occupants was rescued by medical personnel and transported to the Sirai hospital in Carbonia due to the onset of hypothermia. His condition is not considered to be of particular concern. After the standard procedures, the migrants were placed on a bus and transferred to the first reception center in Monastir, where they will be received and subjected to further tests required by law.

Favorable weather and sea conditions continue to encourage crossings from North Africa to the Sulcis coast, which in recent days has seen an increase in the number of small boats arriving from Algeria.
