The morning among the rows of Vigna Teo D'oro is a much awaited appointment among the children of two summer camps in San Teodoro and Budoni .

This morning about fifty young people from the Asd Progetto Calcio San Teodoro camp tried their hand at the Vermentino grape harvest organized by Martina Cianfarani, owner of the panoramic vineyard overlooking the Lagoon and La Cinta beach.

Shears in hand, the small budding winemakers have started the harvest of the bunches that will give life to the bottles of "Origina", the first of the 3 labels created so far from the Teodorino vineyard.

«For me it is an honor to have the children of the camp here for the third consecutive year - commented the entrepreneur - because in this way even the little ones understand the importance of this work and learn about the whole production process that comes from the fields to the finished product. It is also a way for us producers to create a lasting bond with the territory , which is why I always invite both the young people of San Teodoro and those of nearby Budoni. I was also very pleased that this year several tourist families have asked to have their children join the initiative».

A full immersion day in the world of wine for about sixty small winemakers who, shortly before the actual harvest, curiously attended the introductory lesson on company dynamics, addressing highly topical topics such as sustainability. b

bottles in recycled glass and the traditional use of Sardinian cork for stoppers were the focus of the briefing held by Martina Cianfarani , as well as the digitization of the vineyard and the careful marketing study that precedes the release of each label. Under the supervision of the educators, and with the indications of the vineyard staff, the children cut the grapes and filled the crates to be loaded onto the tractor, all accompanied by great laughs and numerous tastings.

«After last year's good experience, we welcomed Martina's invitation with enthusiasm because the children already at the beginning of the season asked us to be able to go back to harvest - explained the educator and coordinator of the camp, Laura Giua - even our younger pupils, aged 5, followed the explanation of the production process which takes place throughout the year and which culminates with the harvest, but most of all they love cutting the bunches».

Tomorrow the children's harvest will continue with the students of the Budoni Summer Camp.
