We leave the day before. And we leave the next. And in any case we would fly to Milan. Unless you are willing to shell out 233 euros to return the same day, passing through Bologna.

Two thousand, out of the four thousand available, have already been purchased for Sunday's match between Sassuolo and Cagliari in the away section of the Mapei Stadium. What the rossoblù supporters want to transform into bedlam in support of Claudio Ranieri's boys. But reaching Reggio Emilia in the morning risks becoming very complicated for those leaving from Sardinia: the match is at 12.30, but from Cagliari to Milan there are no more seats on the plane on the first flights on Sunday under the territorial continuity regime. First departure at 10.30, arrival at Linate at 11.50. Then train to Reggio. And goodbye (minimal) first half.

Flights are available for Rome instead: it is the tortuous route that many Cagliari fans are choosing to arrive on time for kick-off. The alternatives? Leave the day before. But clearly the costs are increasing. However, many Sardinians will come from northern Italy. There is a lot of enthusiasm.

A taste of what will happen on Sunday in Reggio will take place tomorrow at the Unipol Domus: open-door training at 3pm. And over three thousand passes have already been issued to attend the afternoon session in the Curva Nord for free. For Cagliari a "penultimate resort" challenge, for Sassuolo last: if the former Ballardini's team doesn't win they are practically doomed.

But Cagliari can't joke either: postponing everything to the next round at home against Fiorentina could be very dangerous. The unknown: the Viola could be distracted by the Conference League final scheduled for May 29th. But at the same time, precisely in view of that race, they could be mentally and physically very charged.

And so in great shape. Claudio Ranieri is first and foremost trying to manage the aftermath of the defeat against Milan by trying to calm things down. But also trying to make it clear that Reggio is a challenge that can be played on equal terms, without fear and without the "short arm". Yes, because the draw could only be a postponement of the sentence: two points may not be enough to survive, three are needed.
