The images from the video surveillance cameras in the area will be able to precisely establish the dynamics of the accident that cost the lives of Gabriele Galici and Filippo Corongiu , two boys both born in 2008, the first from Cagliari, the second from Monserrato.

The two were returning from a party on a Honda SH 125 scooter owned by the mother of one of them when, for reasons yet to be determined, they crashed into a lamppost in Poetto di Quartu . Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts by the medical team on the scene, unfortunately, nothing could be done for the two young men. One, Corongiu, died instantly. Galici's heart stopped beating while he was in the ambulance.

A single-vehicle accident, without the involvement of other vehicles: the footage will clarify the dynamics and who was actually driving the vehicle .

The Carabinieri are investigating the tragedy, having gathered witness statements and seized the scooter, which was in good standing. Toxicology tests on the bodies are also pending; the coroner has already conducted an initial external examination. The bodies are located at the Brotzu Hospital.

The two boys also had fond memories of the two schools they would soon return to . Filippo Corongiu attended the Michelangelo scientific high school in Cagliari, while Gabriele Galici attended the Pirandello study center.
