Two more pedestrian crossings, along roads where motorists speed a little too much, have been completed in Quartu Sant'Elena. These are via Beethoven, near the school in via Bach and the Palazzetto dello Sport, and via Pitz'e Serra, where there are various secondary schools.

Safety in the foreground therefore on the two important junctions of the area, frequented on foot by citizens and particularly busy. Vehicle drivers will therefore be forced to slow down and in this way there will be greater respect for pedestrians.

The company that is dealing with the asphalt in the city, as planned by the municipal administration, has provided for the laying of the bitumen and the subsequent tracing. To make the artery safe, the crossings are particularly wide, for a length of twelve meters and add to those already made in various other critical points of the territory: in the same via Pitz'e Serra, inside the compact city , but also in via Marconi, in four different points, in via Salieri and via San Benedetto, always with the aim of obtaining a decent but at the same time safe road system.

The plan envisaged by the second lot of asphalt wanted by the municipal administration is concluded, already ready for the start of the third: «Thanks to the framework agreement system, every time we find resources, up to the figure of 5 million, we will be able to continue our program without the need to make a new tender - explains the mayor Graziano Milia -. This will allow us to reduce waiting times and proceed quickly with the project started two years ago to restore decorum and safety to the streets of our city".
