Running around at night with 1,200 poached urchins: Guspini, two young men in trouble

The carabinieri of Guspini stopped them by car, after one in the morning, in the area of Pistis, Marina di Arbus.

After checking the documents, the military proceeded to inspect the car they were traveling in. And they made the discovery: six plastic baskets full of sea urchins, taken from the nearby stretch of water where, however, fishing is strictly prohibited.

A 26 year old and a 24 year old from Gonnosfanadiga, both unemployed, got into trouble.

For poaching fishermen, the report to the competent authorities was thus triggered, while the urchins - about 1,200 - were seized and then thrown back into the sea as required by regional legislation.
