She is the first woman to become police commissioner in Cagliari. Rosanna Lavezzaro, 58 years old from Turin, will take the place of Paolo Rossi from February 1st, who arrived in the city in November 2020 and will retire at the end of the month.

For a few months, Lavezzaro was at the central directorate for general affairs and personnel policies of the State Police. But until last November she was head of the Rimini police station and also in this case she was the first woman to hold that position, since April 2022 .

Before that she had been a police commissioner in Novara and Vercelli. And in her past, assigned to the Turin police station, she was at the Digos, at the Immigration office and head of the Cabinet . In 2001, on the occasion of the G8 in Genoa , she was responsible for maintaining contacts with representatives of the various foreign police forces.

Another coordination role also took place during the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Games, while in 2009 in L'Aquila she dealt with public order at the 35th G8 summit. So from Thursday next week he will be in place of Paolo Rossi who remained in the via Amat office for more than three years.
