Rivers of synthetic drugs in the clubs of Cagliari's nightlife , and the ones bringing them are the DJs and event organizers themselves.

Seven people were arrested – 4 in prison, 3 under house arrest – this morning at dawn in an operation by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Nucleus of the Provincial Command of Cagliari, assisted by the Helicopter Squadron “Cacciatori di Sardegna” and a crew of the 11th NEC ( HERE THE NAMES ). One suspect who was the recipient of the measure is untraceable.

The following ended up in prison:

  • Matteo Putzu, 31 years old, from Maracalagonis, known as Dj Zola
  • Oussama Moi, 38 years old, from Cagliari
  • Andrea Murru, 36 years old, from Quartucciu, also a DJ
  • Davide Francesco Gerina, 29 years old, from Villasimius

House arrest was triggered for:

  • Alessio Lenori, 29 years old, from Cagliari
  • Cristopher Wayne Tooker, 39 years old, from Turin but resident in Carloforte
  • Edoardo Antonio Bonogli, 25 years old, from Villacidro.

The crime contested in the order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Cagliari, Elisabetta Patrito, at the request of the Public Prosecutor Emanuele Secci, is possession and transfer of synthetic narcotics. The defendants are defended by the lawyers Marco Fausto Piras, Annamaria Busia and Emanuele Pizzoccheri.

The investigation, started in 2023, has shed light on a huge trafficking of ketamine, MDMA, cocaine, hashish and marijuana, conducted by DJs and organizers of events in the city's nightlife . Substances sold in the night clubs of Cagliari and the hinterland, even to very young people.

Drugs were practically part of the poster, in the context of events where drug use was presented as a fundamental part of the fun .

The main suspect is a DJ from Cagliari, who often went abroad to procure drugs to resell in clubs . And here at night the suspects, active in the entertainment sector as organizers of evenings or DJs , fed the illicit circuit, earning rivers of money at the expense of the health of young people . In fact, we are talking about extremely dangerous synthetic substances, even more so because they are taken in combination with alcohol.

During the investigations, coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate, 9 arrests were also made in flagrante , one of which was outside the region in Viterbo. And over 4 kilos of ketamine were seized (the courier who was transporting them in a van modified to evade controls was arrested), 7.5 kilos of cocaine, 2 kilos of hashish, one kilo of marijuana, 300 MDMA pills, several grams of 2C-B (a psychoactive substance with a mix of drugs) and more than 19,500 euros in cash . Encrypted apps such as Telegram, Signal and Whatsapp were used to coordinate sales and shipments.
