The regional council approved " a series of important resolutions to improve the health system , guarantee essential services and respond to the needs of citizens, especially in the most vulnerable areas ".

Thus Alessandra Todde announcing the new measures aimed at "improving the efficiency and accessibility of the health system by strengthening its services".

In detail, the program to reduce waiting list times has been extended "until 2025 , by recognizing doctors up to 100 euros per hour for recovery projects . The Health Authorities and Ares will be responsible for implementing the measure, financed with regional funds until the available resources run out".

And then defined the " new criteria for the management of pharmaceutical dispensaries, with the aim of guaranteeing access to medicines in municipalities with less than 5 thousand inhabitants where there are no pharmacies ". The dispensaries, managed by registered pharmacists, will be "an essential public service for peripheral communities, without entering into competition with traditional pharmacies".

Also introduced are " new rules to improve the work of the Civil Disability Medical Commissions and reduce waiting times . The goal - Todde specifies - is to standardize procedures between the ASL and solve the shortage of medical personnel. These measures will simplify and speed up the service, improving assistance to citizens".

Green light, moreover, to the "appointment of the Management Body of the Cagliari University Hospital Trust . This has the task of proposing initiatives and measures aimed at ensuring coherence between the healthcare activity of the AOU and the didactic and scientific planning of the University".

Also strengthened are "the Anti-Smoking Centers for the fight against cancer by allocating 110 thousand euros for the two-year period 2024-2025. The actions include training for health workers, support for cessation programs and campaigns to promote healthy lifestyles, in line with national guidelines".

Then updated "the guidelines for the reception and support of women victims of violence , with greater precision in the reporting of contributions and simplified procedures for access to regional funding".

Finally, "the possibility of obtaining contributions for patients who need treatment outside the region or abroad has been extended , simplifying procedures and offering greater support to companions as well".
