Record heat, Cagliari still with a red sticker. And it is fire alert: 17 fires extinguished in a few hours

Record heat throughout Italy, including Sardinia .

After a month of June which turned out to be the hottest ever, the month of July promises to be just as hot .

In fact, on Saturday 1 July 22 (the number never reached this year) are the Italian cities with a red stamp due to high temperatures. And in the list of the bulletin on heat waves issued by the Ministry of Health there is also the city of Cagliari .

In the capital the maximum risk (for the entire population , not only for the groups at risk), but also in the rest of the island, the mercury columns will not show any signs of descending.

And, precisely because of the high temperatures, the alert for fires also remains very high . In the last few hours, 17 have flared up in as many areas of the island .

The most challenging fronts for the regional teams coordinated by the Forestry Corps were registered in Galtellì , not far from the Sardinian Transversal State Road, in Perfugas, Dorgali and Erula , where helicopters also intervened.

Flames also in Settimo San Pietro, where the brushwood in the vicinity of a cottage caught fire.

Several hectares of land went up in smoke .
