Rain, wind and storm surges: the weather alert goes off in Sardinia

Weather alert for the wave of bad weather arriving on Sardinia.
It was issued by the regional Civil Protection, with two separate Warnings of adverse weather conditions due to heavy rains and strong winds which will also affect the Cagliari area.
The first warning, due to wind and storm surges, concerns Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 January. According to what is indicated, from the early hours of Tuesday and for the following 36 hours, winds up to gales are expected from the West/South West on the coasts and reliefs. Sea storms along exposed coasts. The phenomena – it is specified – will subside in the second part of Wednesday.
From 6 am to 6 pm on Tuesday 17 January 2023 there will also be rain that will create some discomfort.
The island, as reported by the Regional Civil Protection Notice, will in fact be affected by scattered to widespread rainfall, even in the form of scattered showers or thunderstorms.
Rains of greater intensity, it is reported, could be punctually heavy on the western sectors and on the mountainous areas.
