R4, what a passion: a caravan of vintage cars between Sardinia and Corsica

The appointment is twofold: in Santa Teresa Gallura on Thursday 17 October at the port, and two hours later on the other side of the straits in Bonifacio. Sardinia and Corsica united in the name of the Renault 4, the beautiful French utility vehicle of historical interest, for a bilingual rally organized by an enthusiast from Olbia, Ludovico Fara, who a few years ago traveled the whole of Europe on board his R4.
“We will visit enchanting places – explains Fara – sea and mountains, lakes and rivers surrounded by beautiful vegetation. We will eat typical foods of the surrounding places. We will breathe clean air and stop in one of the typical Corsican campsites in the heart of Porto Vecchio”.
The program includes meeting on Thursday 17 October at the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura at 14.45. From here, boarding for Bonifacio at 15.30 on the ferry (expected arrival at 16.15). Then the R4 caravan will leave for the La Matonara campsite in Porto Vecchio.
The next day (Friday 18 October) at 10 am for Zonza with a stop for panoramic photos at Lu Spidali: the R4 parade will have the Alpine lake as its backdrop. Then everyone on the road towards Zonza and Col di Bavella, then in the afternoon, from 3 pm, departure for Solenzara sul mare, from the panoramic road that runs alongside the streams and natural pools. In the evening return to Porto Vecchio.
On Saturday 19th October the R4 caravan will head towards Propriano, with a stop in Pianottoli and Rocca Pina. In the afternoon a stop in Sartene, then back to Porto Vecchio. The last day of the rally is Sunday 20th October: at 10am for Bonifacio, after a tour of the town centre, boarding for Santa Teresa di Gallura (at 3.30pm)
