At the inauguration ceremony of the Mandas Regional Museum of Vintage and Historic Cars, it was possible to admire the Alfa Romeo Giulia that was used by the Carabinieri several decades ago. The museum's opening was part of the final leg of the twelfth edition of Saboris Antigus, the circuit celebrating Sardinia's culinary excellence and artisanal excellence.

The legendary Giulia of the Carabinieri, known as the legendary “Gazzella” of the 1960s and 1970s, is an icon of Italian law enforcement, capable of leaving its mark on the collective imagination for its exceptional performance in pursuit and patrolling.

"For the exhibition of this historic Alfa Romeo, we must thank the Carabinieri, and in particular General Francesco Rizzo, commander of the Sardinian Legion, General Luigi Grasso, provincial commander, Captain Luca Delle Vedove of the Dolianova Company, and our Marshal Francesco Costante," said Mayor Umberto Oppus after the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 2025 edition of Saboris Antigus closes tonight, Sunday 21 December, with a musical show and fireworks.
