A complaint for very serious personal injuries was filed today at the Olbia Carabinieri station against three doctors in the Urology department of the Giovanni Paolo II hospital, accused by a 64-year-old freelancer from Olbia who was allegedly the victim of a case of medical malpractice .

According to what has been learned, the man had undergone laparoscopic surgery on 10 March in the Olbia hospital for the removal of prostate cancer and following the surgery he suffered major injuries to the bladder and intestines , such as to require a few days later, another intervention, this time urgently again to John Paul II. Since then, the 64-year-old has never regained the full functionality of some of his organs and will have to go under the knife once again.

«Today my client presented a formal complaint and we have put on record and for the attention of the Prosecutor of Tempio for the opening of a criminal proceeding all the clinical documentation and medical reports which attest, in our opinion, the crime of very serious injuries - commented the lawyer Egidio Caredda who defends the 64-year-old - We will make a request for compensation for the damage».
