There was no violence or damage to property or people during the roadblock on 11 February 2019 on Highway 131, at Muros, in the midst of protests that broke out throughout the island over the price of milk.

For this reason , the five pastors on trial were acquitted by the court of Sassari: judge Caterina Serra did not accept the theses of the prosecutor Andrea Giganti, who accused them of private violence and ordered the acquittal for " particular tenuousness of the fact ".

The five pastors on trial were Mauro Tolu of Ploaghe, Giovanni Lei and Luca Denanni of Chiaramonti, Antonio Moro of Laerru and Pasquale Antonio Arca of Codrongianos, all defended by the lawyer Margherita Baragliu.

Today two of the defendants were heard, who declared that they were not criminals, that they staged a peaceful protest with a roadblock that lasted just over ten minutes, without causing damage to anyone. “ We just wanted to bring to the attention of the public opinion the great difficulties that the sector was going through at that time due to the insufficient price of milk”, they declared.

Three police inspectors called to testify in the courtroom also reported a blockade that lasted a few minutes, without damage or violence of any kind.
