The situation of the Oristano Police Headquarters is worrying which, due to retirements not followed by sufficient recruitment, would now risk paralysis. The alarm was raised by the deputy of the Five Star Movement Lucia Scanu who, following reports from the trade unions - including Silp Cgil Polizia - presented a question to the Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese.

The situation is the same in other situations and has a national scope.

“I asked the minister what urgent measures he intends to adopt - explains the deputy - to ensure an adequate increase in the workforce in the face of the flow of retirements. The situation is worrying both for the agents and for the territory ”. And in the same act, the honorable member highlighted some numbers: “In 2022 the police headquarters of the Oristano capital will lose 15 agents, if not reinstated with new hires this shortage could lead to collapse. The traffic police department will also be affected by this decrease. Again as a result of retirement, the Fenosu Flight Department will see its workforce halved over the next four years. In this case the risk will be that of not having pilots available to fly the helicopters over the territory ”.

But the problem "also reaches Abbasanta, at CAIP, the Training and Professional Education Center, the flagship of the State Police and which, according to a 2019 ministerial document, should have seen an increase in the number of agents until 2027, from 40 to 87 ". Therefore, he concludes, “at the gates of 2022 there are only personnel losses and no new arrivals. Furthermore, in Abbasanta the structure that houses the CAIP would need to be modernized and expanded ”.
