Unions ready for a large joint demonstration to protest against "the collapse of Sardinian healthcare". In the first days of next week the unitary executives of Cgil, Cisl and Uil will meet with the regional and territorial categories and secretaries, to define the day and the modalities of the parade, but it already transpires that it will be held in Cagliari in mid-October.

In the sights there are waiting lists that do not get shorter, overloaded emergency rooms, insufficient beds, closed or merged departments, numerically scarce and unmotivated staff.

"We demand health care that is closer to citizens , with more attention to home care, to the effectiveness and efficiency of the devices, to the immediate treatment of the most serious diseases that cannot wait", say Samuele Piddiu (CGIL), Gavino Carta (Cisl) and Francesca Ticca (Uil), underlining that "an immediate take-over of the issue by politics and the regional council is needed".
