The Court of Cassation has closed the case of the "Sardinian" financiers of the jihad in Syria , the sentences for Mustafa Chadad and Haj Osman Abdulkarim (five years and six months) and for the entrepreneur Anwar Daadooue (seven years), all Syrians, are final .

The first two were accompanied to Bancali prison, while Anwar Daadooue has been on the run for some time .

The story concerns the financing collected in Sardinia and transferred to the coffers of the radical Sunni organization (according to the prosecutor affiliated with ISIS) Jabhat al Nusra. The structure of the decision of the Court of Assizes has been confirmed, which in June 2021 had accepted the thesis of the deputy of the DDA of Cagliari, Danilo Tronci.

Daadoue is considered the soul and coordinator of the Gallura network for financing terrorist training. The money, according to the thesis of the Digos of Sassari, was intended for a sort of representative office opened in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the capital of the black Caliphate until October 2017. Anwar Daadoue, 50 years old, was the owner of construction companies that for years operated on public and private construction sites, including with partners from Olbia .

Daaodue has created works in the former arsenal of La Maddalena, inside the Costa Smeralda airport and the Mater Olbia and in the Sassari area (Stintino and a shopping centre).

The defenders (Angelo Merlini, Donatella Corronciu) have always maintained that Daaodue (a fugitive after escaping from a Danish prison) is not a terrorist, but an opponent of the dictator Assad .
