"Fire emergency, but men and aircraft are lacking": opposition to the Todde administration's attack

Sardinia continues to burn, and the opposition in the Regional Council is raising the alarm, highlighting the critical issues with the firefighting campaign.

Three motions call for commitments to address the emergency, both regarding interventions and oversight.

First, there's the delay in implementing hiring plans at the Forestas Agency . Then, there's the failure to renew agreements with Civil Protection volunteers and the Barracellari companies . And finally, doubts are being raised about resources and air assets , especially after the recent incident of a Canadair taking off from Genoa to respond to a fire that broke out in the Alghero area.
