A visit to discover an unjustly forgotten corner of a "town within the city," with stories and greenery: Saturday the 24th sees the return of the " Evergreen " tour, walking among the plants and tombs of the Pirri monumental cemetery , on Via Gioachino Murat . Led by writer Claudia Caredda , visitors are given the opportunity to meet at 10:30 am .
The starting point will be in the shade of the majestic evergreen cypress tree that stands in the courtyard, towering over the lawns for over two centuries. From there, a walk will begin to rediscover the memories and connections hidden behind the cemetery's various corners, revealing much more than one might think about the millennia-old history of the Pirrese community .
After her November visit featuring readings by Teatro Botanico, Caredda returns to lead visitors in an event promoted by Trip Sardinia . The Cagliari-born writer, already responsible for the texts for the permanent exhibitions at the Ghetto and the Castello di San Michele, published her debut novel, " I fuochi di Sant'Elmo, " in 2019, published by Scatole Parlanti .
