“ Diabetes: a great challenge for Sardinia ” is the title of the conference organized for Friday 1 September (at 5 pm) at the Grand Hotel of Porto Cervo in Cala Granu.

The appointment, which will see Professor Camillo Ricordi , a professor at Miami University and one of the world's leading diabetes experts, among the protagonists, will be an opportunity to lay the foundations for a technical-scientific collaboration between Professor Ricordi and the Sardinian Regional Health System represented by the Local Health Trusts, the Hospital Trusts, the University System and Mater Olbia which, through the Qatar Foundation, has long since begun an interlocution in this sense.

Among the participants also the governor of the Region of Sardinia Christan Solinas and the councilor for health Carlo Doria .

The presence of regional experts in the field of genetics and pancreatic surgery will make the meeting attended by Riccardo Trentin , the head of the Sardinian Diabetes Network Federation who will bring the patients' requests, more operational.
