"Pills of insecurity". It is the name of the battle against the new police and urban security regulation in Cagliari conducted on social networks by the municipal councilors of Possibile, Giulia Andreozzi and Francesca Mulas Fiori.

In the crosshairs, the provision launched by the administration led by the mayor Paolo Truzzu and adopted last February, which according to the two councilors contains "wrong and paradoxical" rules. Errors and paradoxes at the center of the campaign launched on their Facebook profiles.

The first post shared by Andreozzi and Mulas concerned the so-called "urban daspo" , a provision born in 2017 to combat violence in stadiums and now extended to city spaces: in Cagliari it will in fact be used even for minimal violations, such as entering the a park or use single-use plastic items at the seaside.

Then the two councilors dealt with the ban on camping out and begging . "The right wing that governs our city - the two exponents of Possibile write on social media - hates the poor and the least of society and demonstrates it with this article, the violation of which is punished both with high economic sanctions and with the order removal, if it takes place in one of the red areas of the city: evidently the presence of these people would ruin the good living rooms of the city".

The ban on undressing, using games in a non-compliant manner, displaying erotic-themed objects, consuming food and drink outside bars and restaurants is also controversial.

«We wanted to carry out this information campaign - explains Andreozzi - to warn citizens and make known the most worrying and paradoxical aspects of this regulation, which according to the mayor should help restore safety and decorum in Cagliari: instead it will only lead to further marginalization , because it punishes the poorest and weakest".

The new regulation, Mulas echoes, is «a botched instrument, with absurd bans and manifestly disproportionate penalties. The Daspo is foreseen for those who tie their bike to a pole in one of the red areas, but not for those who park an SUV on the sidewalk , a single-use plastic straw can lead to a ban on returning to Poetto for 48 hours. But how can one even hypothesize such a thing?».

In recent days , even the Fiab has taken a stand against the crackdown on bikes tied to poles, also presenting an appeal to the Tar .
