The cruise ship was said to have set sail from Germany last June with a health alert in place due to the risk of gastroenteritis that had been reported on board for some time, so much so that the shipping company itself posted a sign in each cabin warning of what was happening.

This report, however, did not prevent some tourists from Cagliari traveling in the North Sea from contracting the "Noravirus," along with nearly a third of those on board. This made it necessary to access the ship's medical center and remain confined to their rooms for part of the trip.

Now, because of that ruined vacation, a group of Sardinian tourists—represented by lawyers Emanuele Pizzoccheri and Federica Sanna—have turned to the court to seek compensation.
