Doors are open to visitors at Malaspina Castle in Osilo. The Municipality, in collaboration with the Badde Lontana cultural association, announces the reopening to the public of the splendid and evocative castle, the fortress built around the 12th century by the noble Italic family of Lombard origins who gave it its name.

The Malaspina family arrived in Sardinia around 1016, and the first documents mentioning their possession of Osilo Castle date back to 1272. The San Lorenzo water mill is also open to the public. The service includes an opening, a welcome, and a guided tour with explanations of the two historic sites. Upon request, visitors can visit both sites on the same day. Opening hours are guaranteed from August 1st to October 15th, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from August 1st to 31st, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For the period from September 1st to October 15th, the opening hours are still being finalized and will be announced later. For the traditional Corsa all'anello, the castle will also be exceptionally open on Wednesday, August 12th to accommodate the influx of tourists.
