Gallura is the second province of Italy for the increase in food prices (+16.6%), which will have repercussions on the expenses for holiday lunches and dinners: the Sardinian territory is second only to Cosenza (+17.4%) . Cagliari, on the other hand, is in the national top ten for price increases on household appliances and appliances.

This is what emerges from the map of increases in the Christmas period outlined by Codacons, which has reworked the latest definitive data from Istat on inflation. The survey by the consumer association shows that after Cosenza and Olbia the inhabitants of Catania (+16.4%), Grosseto (+16.2%), Viterbo, Macerata and Pistoia (+16.1%) will pay the most ), Imperia (+16%).

The most expensive toasts, however, will be made in Tuscany: the ranking of price increases for alcoholic beverages (wines, sparkling wines, liqueurs, etc.) is in fact led by Grosseto and Livorno (+10.2%) followed by Modena (+9 .9%) and Avellino (+9.8%).

Another sore point, the association notes, are the restaurants: the most substantial increases will affect those who choose to spend Christmas or New Year sitting at a table in a restaurant in Viterbo, where the menu lists increase by an average of 12.4% compared to last year ; in second place Cosenza with +11%, followed by Trento (+10.5%), Olbia (+10.3%) and Palermo (+10.1%).

In Cagliari, on the other hand, giving away electrical appliances will cost 10.1% more than last year: the second highest increase in Italy. The first is that of Rome, with 10.2%.
