A work-related accident occurred this afternoon at a construction site on Via Piria in Quartucciu. Around 4:00 PM, a 42-year-old worker from Sulcis was injured after falling from a height of approximately three meters while working on a building under construction.

The man was rescued by 118 personnel, who responded to the scene together with the Carabinieri of Selargius and operators of the Spresal Service of the Cagliari ASL.

Given the worker's condition, health workers ordered his transfer to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, but his life is not in danger.

The Carabinieri and the health authority staff have begun investigations to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident and verify compliance with workplace safety regulations.
