He attempted to flee after a car accident , but local police officers caught him in record time. It happened Friday morning on Via Quartu. After the impact, the driver fled without providing assistance, disappearing without a trace .

Thanks to a targeted investigation, supported by the municipal video surveillance system, the officers managed to identify the vehicle involved within a few hours and reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.

The vehicle was located at a body shop in a neighboring municipality, where it had been taken in an attempt to repair the damage and remove any traces of the incident. The driver has been identified and will be fined according to the Highway Code.
