Perhaps it was a heart attack that killed former policeman Stefano Tanzi on Tuesday afternoon in Quartu.

The necropsy examination carried out in the afternoon at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Policlinico di Monserrato did not reveal any particular trauma on the man's body. The heart attack may have been caused by the compression of the vagus nerve that has given no escape to the man, who has been cardiopathic and retired for years. The first thesis put forward immediately after the tragedy therefore takes shape: that of a death from a heart attack.

The case could be closed immediately as soon as the coroner, Professor Roberto Demontis, will forward the result of the report to the Public Prosecutor of Cagliari. Today, Di Tanzi's body could be returned to family members for the funeral that should take place in the next few days.

Truly a tragic fatality behind the death of the retired policeman who had also worked for a long time in the Cabinet office of the Cagliari Police Headquarters. Originally from Parma, Tanzi enlisted in the police as a young man, making a stop in Cagliari and finding a home in Quartu where he resided in his condominium house at number 49 of via Petrarca, near the Music District.
