In the end, the stop lasted only two days: the school canteen service in the city restarts tomorrow after the 48-hour forced closure caused by the appeal presented by a company excluded from the tender - the same as the group of companies at the helm of management canteens in the city in recent years - which asked for the cancellation of the assignment of the service and demanded the technical extension, citing the Municipality and the new company.
The request was rejected by the administrative judges of Cagliari, who underlined " the non-existence of the assumption of the technical extension by the outgoing manager ", and reiterated "how Compass Group Italia - the winning company of the new canteen contract - is ready to start the service".
The decision of "definitive non-acceptance of the application" by the Regional Administrative Court arrived in the afternoon, immediately after the meeting with the top management of the Municipality who clarified in detail the process of awarding the new contract. A sigh of relief for hundreds of alarmed parents after the stop decided the day before returning to school : from tomorrow the children will be able to have lunch in the canteen again.
"The president of the Tar also ordered the appellant company to pay the costs of the proceedings , also reserving the right to rule at a later stage on the request for a sentence for aggravated liability made by the administration against the same company that filed the request", they let it be known from the Municipality. "The administration", reads a note, "declares itself satisfied with the outcome of the affair and in it finds further confirmation of the correctness of its actions ". Finally, "appreciation is expressed for the work of the President of the TAR for the speed with which he took his decisions".
