The news of his sudden disappearance shocked the whole city. Because Tonino Dessì - who died today at the age of 63 - really knew everyone in Quartu , for his work as a family doctor and politician. Municipal councilor from 1993 to 2005 - he entered the via Porcu courtroom for the first time at just 24 years old - Dessì was also prime minister from 2001 to 2003 . His name was among the eligible candidates as a candidate for mayor for the center-right, wanted by his party - the Brothers of Italy - which he has led in recent years at the city level.

Dessi was appreciated by everyone in the city, as a doctor but also as a politician. And not just from party comrades.
