Quartu, put out the flames in the reeds of Molentargius

The flames that attacked a reed bed and brushwood at Molentargius around 1 pm were extinguished.

The foresters and firefighters worked on the spot.

Immediately afterwards, around 16.00 the inspection of the area and the securing of the site also began. An attempt is also being made to trace the cause of the fire which could have been caused by self-combustion but which could also have been intentional.

The fire developed around 13 with the flames rapidly developing in the reeds also creating a consistent blanket of smoke.

There remains a dangerous situation throughout the territory linked to the presence of landfills and above all brushwood.
