Quartu, head-on collision at the Pitz'e Serra intersection: cars destroyed, two injured

Two people were injured in a violent two-car collision at the intersection of Highway 554 and the Pitz'e Serra junction. Both were taken to the hospital after being extracted from the wreckage by firefighters. They are not believed to be seriously injured: they were admitted to the Brotzu and Santissima Trinità hospitals, respectively, with critical injuries.

A 53-year-old woman is hospitalized at Brotzu Hospital with fractures to her leg and pelvis, while a 35-year-old man is hospitalized at Santissima Trinità Hospital with injuries to his abdomen . The two were driving their respective cars.

Traffic police and local police officers are working on the scene to conduct legal investigations and determine any culprits. Of the cars involved, one was traveling in the direction of Sant'Isidoro and the other, in the opposite direction, toward the city district, resulting in a head-on collision .
