Foreclosures, withdrawals from rents, salaries and current accounts. In Quartu, the first measures are taken against defaulters: thousands of Quartesi who have not paid municipal taxes for years - Tari, Imu and Tasi - so much so as to create a hole of 47 million euros in the City Hall budget.

"This is not a fight against indistinct tax evasion, but a serious and targeted action that will allow us to recover the resources not paid by those who have the possibility to pay taxes but do not", explains Deputy Mayor Tore Sanna after the first executive collection measures notified to defaulting taxpayers.

"There will be no coercive intervention against those who are objectively unable to pay taxes", he assures. In this case there will be the intervention of the Social Services, a hard punch instead against the citizens who - between work, current accounts and rented houses - have the possibility to pay their bills but continue to evade, despite the many good-natured warnings and reminders sent. by the tax office of the Municipality of Quartu .

And after the barrage of payment injunctions there are the first positive results: over 3 thousand Quartesi who have decided to regularize their tax position in recent weeks.
