Security alarm in the pharmacies of Quartu Sant'Elena , hit in recent months by an escalation of thefts and repeated attempts to force the shutters .

A situation that does not leave the owners calm , who, taking pen and paper, decided to write to the Prefect and the mayor of Quartu.

What dominates in the category is a " widespread feeling of insecurity ", write the pharmacists in their appeal to the authorities, speaking of episodes "repeated and close together over time" .

«Considering that pharmacies also carry out on-call services – they add in the note –, with the presence of a pharmacist even when their doors are closed, the possibility arises for the staff to have to face a situation of potential danger to their safety , should the criminals enter the premises".

A dangerous situation also accentuated by the fact that «the pharmacies – the owners of the businesses further explain in the letter – hold for sale narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and substances whose use is considered doping , which could be stolen by robbers, creating a risk for public health ".

The request, therefore, is for a " strengthening of patrols " in the area and the " strengthening of video surveillance cameras " positioned near the premises.
