Quartu, crowd and emotion at the funeral of Gabriele Pergola

An emotional crowd attended the funeral of Gabriele Pergola in the afternoon, killed at dawn on Monday in a B&B in Quartucciu .

There was great emotion with the coffin welcomed at the entrance by a long applause , amidst the desperation of Gabriele's family and friends. And then dozens of flower cushions that almost created a flower display at the entrance to the church of the Sacred Heart in Quartu .

After the touching and comforting words of the assistant parish priest Don Antonello Piras , the mass continued amidst emotion and general condolences. And after mass, the coffin was greeted by another long applause, by the roar of a maxi motorbike and by the first drops that fell from the cloud-covered sky.
