Pula, seized small boat used for the crossing of migrants

A small boat used by migrants for the crossing from North Africa was seized by the carabinieri in Pula .

The soldiers of the local station, together with the Underwater Unit of the Carabinieri of Cagliari, found a 6-meter-long wooden boat with a 40 horsepower Yamaha Enduro engine in the “ Comunione dei Pianeti ” area.

On the boat there were 9 empty 20-liter plastic cans, probably containing the fuel used for the crossing. The boat was most likely used by the 16 migrants traced three days ago and accompanied to Monastir. It was seized and entrusted to the manager of the Cala Verde di Pula port in judicial custody.
