THE STORY OF THE DAY
1:00 p.m. The people have spoken: thousands in the streets, more than 210,000 at the stalls this summer to say no to energy speculation in Sardinia through a law that, by virtue of the prerogatives on Urban Planning provided for by the Sardinian Statute, blocks the construction of wind and photovoltaic plants on the vast majority of the island's territory. Now the word goes to the Regional Council, which will not be able to turn a blind eye to an almost unprecedented mobilization.

Now Mrs. Assunta and Efisia are in Cagliari, in front of the Regional Council, to support the popular initiative law proposal that, against energy speculation, bears the name of that historic revolt: "Now it's worse," they say with conviction, "because then the battle concerned our country, now all of Sardinia is in danger."
12:25 PM – In the square, together with the common people, also dozens of mayors. Some have called a meeting of the City Council in Cagliari. The chorus is unanimous: «Pratobello 24 is the only law that can stop energy speculation. Now we need to listen to the Sardinian people».
12:17 PM – The President of the Regional Council Piero Comandini received the representatives of the committees, who officially delivered the signatures collected in recent months in support of the proposed law Pratobello 24. Comandini clarified that the procedure that the bill will follow will be the ordinary one. «For now we are in the phase of verifying the regularity of the signatures, then we will take care of defining what the discussion procedure with the commissions will be». ( MR )
12:12 PM – The majority in the Regional Council has denied the emergency procedure, the so-called 102, for the immediate inclusion in the agenda of the Chamber of the proposed law Pratobello 24, supported by over 210 thousand signatures of the Sardinians, against energy speculation. 11:07 AM - The mayor of Orgosolo, Pasquale Mereu, one of the promoters of Pratobello 24, speaks into the microphone: "I invite my fellow mayors present," he says, "not to wear the tricolor sash. Because at this moment Italy is against Sardinia." The crowd chants: "A Fora s'Italia de sa Sardigna." Which means: Italy out of Sardinia. Whoever represents the Sardinian people, Mereu added in reference to the regional councilors, "must immediately take into consideration the Pratobello 24 law, without ifs or buts." The Sardinians, he emphasized, "have stripped themselves of their party vestments: I invite them to do so and think of the good of the people."

SOS SARDINIA
There are thousands of people ready to invade Cagliari with around 35-40 buses, but also with their own vehicles, coming from all over Sardinia : they are the people of Pratobello 24 , the popular initiative law for which the 210,729 signatures in support will be delivered this morning to the Regional Council .
"Today's", the organizers emphasize, "is the celebration to close the symbolic circle of a mobilization that, for once, has brought all Sardinians into agreement".
And so not only the delivery of signatures, but also the large demonstration that, from 10, is scheduled in via Roma in front of and around the Regional Council. The theme: "a people on the march", against wind and photovoltaic energy.
The signatures will be transported, around 11:30, inside the Palace by the delegation of the committees of Orgosolo, led by the mayor Pasquale Mereu, father of the proposed law. And they will be delivered by a very small delegation to the representatives of the offices of the secretariat of the Regional Council: the president of the assembly Piero Comandini has given instructions so that, after delivery, they will be kept in a suitable place.
Outside the Assembly Palace, on the mezzanine floor, activists will retrace the stages of the mobilization , which culminated in the blockades at the port of Oristano, where wind towers and turbines were stored to be sent to various Sardinian territories, and the commitment made in collecting signatures for Pratobello 24. There will also be a flash mob , which – the organizers anticipate – will represent the unity of the Sardinian people against the assault on the territory.
The committees' demonstration will coincide with that of the Cobas of the school that, in the platform of their demands, indicate - and in the first places - the fight against energy speculation. Then there is the adhesion of the Sardinian Trade Union Confederation. And then the support of Caterina Murino , the actress from Cagliari who in a reel on her Instagram profile thanks the Sardinians for the mobilization and for the over 210 thousand signatures, inviting everyone to participate in the demonstration in via Roma.
The demonstration, which should end around 3 pm, will be enriched by the participation of mayors and administrators who, in order to be present and give a tangible sign of support to the "battle", have called the municipal councils of their towns to Cagliari.
And as happened on June 15 for "È vento di Saccargia", Videolina is taking to the field today to tell the Sardinians about the demonstration in Cagliari against wind and photovoltaic energy. Live on the main television station on the island, starting at 10:30, the delivery of signatures for the Pratobello 24 law to the Regional Council will be documented. In the studio, Videolina's editor-in-chief, Nicola Scano, and Mauro Pili, editor-in-chief of L'Unione Sarda who curated a long investigation into energy speculation. Interviews and contributions by Stefano Birocchi, Stefano Fioretti and Maurizio Olandi are also scheduled. At 9 pm, a special episode of Radar , with an in-depth look at the day. Tomorrow's episode of Radar will also be dedicated to the Pratobello 24 law and the extraordinary result achieved.
