Vandalized twice and restored for the second time, a recovery work, the one carried out on one of the tables of the Passio dei Martiri Turritani, which does not erase the bitterness for the uncivilized act carried out against the goods of the Porto Torres community.

The sculpture, one of 18 bas-reliefs created by master Odo Tinteri and donated to the city, had been detached from the support placed in front of the Port Museum and thrown to the ground on Christmas Eve.

The restoration was carried out by the staff of Multiservizi who, with painstaking work, reassembled the pieces. «It was a job that became necessary due to an act of unacceptable incivility and which, obviously, took time away from the Multiservice workers - said the mayor Massimo Mulas - who could have used the time to carry out other services for the city. The positive fact, which is worth rejoicing about, is that the city is repossessing an asset that had been unduly stolen from it».

The work had also been destroyed by vandals in 2019 and then renovated .
