West Nile virus cases in Oristano rise to 11, with two more hospitalizations.

An eighty-five-year-old man and a sixty-six-year-old woman, both from Campidano, are hospitalized in the medical department of San Martino Hospital in Oristano.
Their health conditions are good. After the assessment, the Department of Hygiene and Health Prevention, headed by Dr. Maria Valentina Marras, immediately implemented all the measures required for the case : an epidemiological investigation and the cordoning off of the subjects' homes to allow for more thorough disinfestation within a 200-meter radius of their home.
In recent weeks, three other people over seventy, four over sixty, one over forty, and one over ninety have tested positive for the virus . Of these nine infected, seven are still hospitalized, while the rest have been discharged and returned home.
