A key step in the education of students, the University of Sassari has shown itself to the Paglietti Higher Institute of Porto Torres as a link between the school curriculum and the world of work.

In the Auditorium of the Liceo in via Bernini, the university professors met the students of the fifth year to accompany them in one of the most important decisions of their lives. The day dedicated to orientation was opened by teacher Paola Rapelli, delegate of the Rector of the University of Sassari, to present the functioning of the faculties, their structure with its perspectives and opportunities. The morning continued with Professor Vanna Meloni, head of the University Orientation service, who presented the study courses active at the University of Sassari, the supports offered in case of special needs and Ersu services. The expert also illustrated which experiences can be had within the University of Sassari and which ones are linked to foreign projects. Subsequently, the president of the movement, sports and human well-being course, Pasquale Bandiera, placed the focus on his course of study, especially to address the students of the sports high school.

The orientation meeting ended with two workshops concerning post-diploma university choices and preparation activities for access tests with a limited number of students, with simulation of the admission tests. "I believe that in high schools we should intervene with a massive intervention to raise awareness of the importance of guidance" said Daniele Taras, head teacher of Paglietti, "to be carried out within individual high school institutes to help students, especially those in difficulty in choosing the university.
