He had been wandering around the city of Porto Torres for some time, refusing contact with people and accepting food only from a safe distance.

The capture of "Biondo," the molosser dog that had been reported for some time in Porto Torres, in the Serra li Pozzi and Satellite neighborhoods, by residents and animal rights organizations, such as the National League for the Defense of the Dog, as a stray animal, was concluded yesterday.

Likely abandoned as a pet from another area, the capture was the result of a coordinated agreement between the Porto Torres Barracellare company led by Commander Gavino Cuccu, who, in collaboration with the ASL veterinarian Gabriele Rossi, and the Stray Animals Registry service led by veterinarian Andrea Sarria, resolved a problem that had long concerned the municipal administration due to the difficult management of the case, an intervention aimed at combating stray animals.

The dog is currently at the municipal shelter where he will receive the necessary care. Anyone wishing to adopt him can apply at the Municipal Environmental Office located on Via Ponte Romano.
