Massimo Puliga, the 55-year-old man who was stabbed last night on the Porto Torres seafront by his ex-wife Emiliana Pirino, 53, suffered only minor injuries (THE NEWS HERE).

They got married about a year ago, in March 2023, but their relationship became tense after a few months. Witnesses tell of furious arguments and episodes of violence.

Last night around 8.30pm, Emiliana Pirino was walking along the seafront with her partner, when the fifty-six-year-old parked his car in the square in front of the Nautical Institute, got out of the car, a Renaul Scenic, and headed towards his wife and company. A strong argument broke out between the former couple, resulting in the attack.

The woman hit Massimo Puliga in the back several times with a small knife. The man was transferred aboard the 118 ambulance to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata hospital. His condition is not serious. The wounds were found to heal in a few days. The police stopped the woman and transferred her to the barracks for questioning.
