The metalworkers of the Porto Torres industrial plant cross their arms.

The workers of the Ep Fiume Santo plant and the former Petrochemical plant, direct and indirect , have joined the 4-hour national strike of Fiom Cgil, Fim Cisl and Uilm Uil, proclaimed to protest against the decline of the industrial system, affected by an ecological transition not governed.

This morning, in front of the gates of the Eni plant, a flyer was held by the workers who asked for "an industrial and employment future". The metalworkers, symbol of Italian industry, intend to relaunch the sector which today has entire supply chains at risk.

In the industrial area of Porto Torres there are about 400 units: «We, women and men, employed in factories, want to make the ecological transition by guaranteeing and regenerating employment», they argue «but without an industrial policy in the Region we risk desertification in an indispensable sector for building the future of the country».
